An Evening Full of Crafting, Laughter & Kindness

Some evenings remind you exactly why community matters so much… and this was definitely one of them.

I was so honoured to support this special event by donating my time and all the crafting materials for the evening. Together, we created 8 beautiful handmade cards each — ready to send to family and friends — but more importantly, we created smiles, conversations, laughter and memories too.

Watching everyone sit together, crafting, chatting and enjoying a little creative escape is exactly why I love what I do as The Cheerful Crafter. Crafting is never just about paper and glue. It’s about connection, confidence, wellbeing and bringing people together.

A huge thank you must also go to The Anvil Inn, Congham who generously allowed us to use their function room free of charge, donated raffle prizes, and even welcomed us to sell raffle tickets around the pub throughout the evening. Their kindness and support made such a difference.

Thanks to everyone who attended, bought raffle tickets, crafted along and supported the event, an amazing £91.46 was raised.

That amount may sound like just a number to some people, but evenings like this are about so much more than fundraising totals. They are about people giving their time, businesses supporting local causes, and a room full of individuals leaving a little happier than when they arrived.

I’m incredibly grateful to have been part of it.

Thank you to everyone who came along, to the wonderful team at The Anvil, and to everyone who continues to support local community events like these.

The world always feels a little brighter after an evening of crafting and kindness
